There aren’t many things more enjoyable than an icy margarita enjoyed on an outdoor patio. The Greater New Orleans Area has many places that mix up an amazing margarita. But, for this blog, we are focusing on the Northshore! How do you pick one (or two or even three?!) so we asked our friends over on the Mandeville Mommas page on Facebook to volunteer to research and of course, many obliged. We’ve compiled a list of the top 3 margaritas on the Northshore, as voted on by the mommas. Let’s get to sipping!
- Habanero’s– With a few Northshore locations (Mandeville, Madisonville and Covington), Habanero’s makes it easy to drop in for a margarita. Try the signature smoked margarita or another hit, the jalapeno if you’re looking to spice things up.
- Cilantros- Cilantros delivers modern Mexican fare smack dab in the middle of downtown Covington. Spend a sunny afternoon or a starlit evening on a beautiful stroll downtown in Covington, which can’t be beat, sipping a Cilantros margarita. They are most known for their fresh ingredients, meaning many of their margs include fresh fruit- the strawberry mint was voted one of the best in our poll!
- Mi Mamacita’s– Mi Mamacita’s has been around well over 20 years, becoming a local favorite in Mandeville. They are known for their Mexican food and drinks with a New Mexican flare. This includes their margaritas, like mango and cucumber jalapeno!
There were many others mentioned, like Georges, Cafe Lynn, Impastatos and El Paso. We think it’s safe to say that if you’re looking for a magnificent margarita, the Northshore is a great place to start. This list is a great place to start your next margarita night with friends!
